BATTERY SPECIFICATIONS
This battery is a high-voltage lithium-ion battery designed specifically for use with the Shearwater Jetpack.

Battery Model: 18010 | Nominal voltage: 43.2 V | Charge time: approximately 3 hours
Rated capacity: 3 Ah | Rated energy: 129.6 Wh | Water resistance: IPX8 | Weight: 1.1 kg
Designed in Canada. Made in China.

CAUTIONS/PRECAUTIONS
1.  Before using the battery, carefully read this service manual and all information on the surface of the battery.
2. Children should not play with or handle the battery.
3.  Do not use the battery with the Shearwater Jetpack without Avelo training and certification.
4. Remove battery from equipment when not in use.
5.  Li-ion batteries require specific care to maximize lifespan and safety: Charge within 10 to 45°C (50 to 113°F). Do not leave unattended while charging. Do not store battery at 0% charge. Keep away from flammable materials. Store in a cool, dry place. Ideal storage is 10 to 20°C (50 to 68°F), with routine charging every six months. Never use damaged batteries.
6.  Battery should only be charged with compatible Shearwater chargers and used with compatible Shearwater products.
7.  When charging the Shearwater battery, it typically reaches around 80% capacity within 2 hours. Complete charging time is 3 to 4 hours. Store batteries at 75% charge between 10 to 20 °C (41 to 68 °F) for best performance.
8.  Refer to the Shearwater Jetpack product manual for further info and removability instructions at shearwater.com/jetpack_manual
9.  When the battery is not used for a length of time, please store safely so it will stay in a half-charged state. Please wrap the battery with non-conductive material in order for metallic material to not have direct contact the battery, which could result in damage to the battery. Store it in a cool, dry place.
10.  Warranty period is two years from the date of ex-factory. However, the manufacturer will not replace the battery free of charge even in the warranty period if the problem with the battery results from misuse rather than bad quality.
11.  Transportation: Lithium-ion batteries have strict shipping regulations, particularly for air travel. Please check before traveling with the battery. Do not fly with the battery installed to the Shearwater Jetpack.
12. Hazardous Substances: No containment above 0.1% (w/w).
13. Critical Raw Material: Contains Lithium Nickel Cobalt Aluminum, Graphite, Copper, and Aluminum above 0.1% w/w.

DISPOSAL/RECYCLING INSTRUCTIONS
Never dispose of lithium-ion batteries in regular household trash or standard recycling bins — they pose a significant fire risk. Instead, cover the terminals with electrical tape or place each battery in its own plastic bag to prevent short-circuits. Then take them to a designated battery drop-off location, such as an electronics recycler or a local hazardous-waste facility. You can also search for nearby collection sites through services like battery drop-off directories or local waste programs.
