EMPOWERING LOCAL PARTNERS TO SAFEGUARD THEIR REEFS
Ocean Gardener applies 30 years of coral farming experience to community-based reef restoration across Indonesia. With active planting projects in Nusa Penida, Bali, North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and beyond, they implement scalable, low-tech methods that have successfully returned over 350,000 thermo-tolerant corals to the ocean.
Beyond planting, they educate local marine biologists and run specialized training courses in regions like Raja Ampat, Banda Neira, Nusa Penida, and Bali. Today, dozens of Ocean Gardener alumni are actively working to protect and restore marine ecosystems throughout the country.
