Saratoga
Data Systems is an emerging EDA software
company, dedicated to solving the problems caused by
huge data volumes. Saratoga minimizes inefficient
and expensive local and long-distance movement of data
with efficient, cost effective processing. Current
Saratoga products accelerate long-distance data distribution
and access. Future products will increase the capacity
and operational efficiency of storage and memory. Inefficient
data movement is the single biggest bottleneck to computer
performance. Data must be moved to (and within) a CPU
chip to be processed and distributed locally and/or
long-distance to be used and stored. Processing technology
has always advanced much faster than communication
technology.
The Saratoga Data Systems tool set includes:

Bantam: enabling the designer to reduce a GDSII file
by more than half its original size, and still maintain
the standard GDSII standard. [more]

Flume: performs high speed network transfers of very
large data files. The Saratoga Data Flume uses a next
generation low latency communication protocol that
greatly improves file transfer throughput relative
to TCP based transmission utilities such as FTP. [more]
